London Fashion Week with POP PR

From the 17th to 19th February 2017, I undertook an internship with POP PR, helping the team with their shows at London Fashion Week. The shows were organised by Fashion Scout, and I was based at Freemason’s Hall in Covent Garden. Interning over LFW was an amazing experience, and it was fantastic to gain insight into working in PR over one of the busiest periods in the fashion calendar. Of an initial intern team of about 40 on Friday, I was one of around 12 interns to stay until the end of Sunday.

As a PR intern, I was initially in charge of checking guests invites at the door of the shows, and direct them towards their seating. Over the weekend, I was praised for my competence in this role and my responsibilities were extended to engaging with the VIP guests and ensuring that they were appropriately seated on the front row.

Due to the nature of our role, we were also able to watch some of the shows. I have included some of my own photography below.

Email Alerts Cont.

‘Socks and Sandals’ is a big trend for SS16, and with that in mind I created this email alert for Teva sandals matched with Schoffel socks.

Another style of email alert I designed was a ‘Get the Look’ alert. This required me to search for current images of celebrities and match their clothing with as similar style as possible from one of our brands. For this Antony Morato coat Get The Look, I chose 3 male celebrities that featured in the GQ Best-Dressed list of 2016.

For this Festival Style Get the Look, I used images of celebrities from Glastonbury 2016 matched with Manhattan Portage and Muck Boot products. This was sent out to journalists at the start of the main festival season.

This Jewellery Trend Email Alert was inspired by a large spread in Stylist magazine, where they had mapped out the big jewellery trends of the summer. Using the Ted Baker AW16 catalogue, I identified the main trends of the season and created a magazine style alert.

This ‘Tie the Knot in Antony Morato’ email alert was made with the idea of pitching Antony Morato to wedding magazines and blogs, as a potential groomswear brand.

H&B Mother’s Day: Blog Post and Images

I was asked to created a Mother’s Day Gift Guide for the Harper & Blake blog as part of my 4 week Digital Marketing Internship. I featured some of their own products, as well as others from brands that sat well alongside Harper & Blake. Again, I created a collage of images using Photoshop to be used in the blog post.

H&B AW16 Collection: Blog Post and Images

As part of my Digital Marketing Internship with Harper & Blake, I was asked to write a potential blog post about their London Fashion Week AW16 showcase, held on February 21st 2016.

Using the images provided in the catalogue, and after some initial experimentation with ideas, I also created two images in Photoshop to accompany my blog post.

Pre-Order Predator Collection

Here at Harper & Blake, we are very excited to announce that we can finally show our new collection of scarves for A/W16: ‘Predators. The collection was officially revealing last weekend, at our amazing London Fashion Week showcase in Shoreditch.

If you were unable to attend our event, the scarves were designed by the wonderful Alina Zamanova, an up-and-coming print designer here in London, and in Ukraine. The collection consists of eight hand-drawn silk scarves, inspired by nature and wild animals. The prints include birds, a leopard, a crocodile and an octopus.

Now that we have shown the collection and are beginning production, we are able to provide our readers a fantastic offer. Between 22nd February and 31st March, you can pre-order your Predator scarves and save 60% off the retail price!
